SFU – Research Assistant: May 2011-Present

Research Assistant to Dr. Richard Smith and PhD Student Rob McMahon on the First Mile Indigenous Broadband Research Project.

CiTR radio – New Media Co-ordinator: April 2011-Present

New Media co-ordinator at UBC’s Campus radio station. Ran various social media campaigns on Twitter, web and tech advising.

CiTR radio – Board of Directors Student Representative: April 2011-Present

Board of Directors representative to the Student Executive. Voting member of the Board of Directors, involved in voting on the new CiTR space in the new UBC SUB, hiring committee, etc.

CKXU – Music Director/Web services: Feb 2006- Aug 2010

Ran the music department for a 150+ volunteers and DJs. Selected the music for DJs to broadcast on-air to a broadcast range of up to 100,000 listeners. Worked with and solicited record labels and promotion companies from across the US and Canada to acquire music for CKXU. Compiled charts, reviewed and trained on-air DJs. Setup the current version of CKXU.com

Freelance web development: 2007-present

Worked with small companies and non-profit organizations to develop several new websites in Southern Alberta.

Skills:

Web – Well versed and skilled in creating dynamic and cutting edge websites for clients. Providing excellent support and teaching users website management skills and tutorials. Software: WordPress, PHP, Drupal commons, CSS3.

3D – Modeling, animation, visual effects. Software: 3DS Max, Cinema 4D.

Motion graphics and digital effects – Very adaptable to new software and has a keen and sharp eye with attention to detail. Software: After Effects, Cinema 4D, Illustrator and Photoshop, Colour correcting and grading skills, generative motion and art.

Audio – Longtime experience working with audio production, recording, mixing and setting up audio equipment.

Interactivity – Skilled in creating usable interfaces and adapting and adjusting according to users input and preferences.

Selected as a graduate to attend the Inclusion Works ’09 conference – April 2009
